The Greater Johnstown Saddle Club

Welcome to GJSC, where adventure, fun, and   friendship begin and center around a  love of horses!!    

             What We are about

  Our club was founded in 1961 to promote interest in equine activities. The club grounds consist of over 40 acres of beautiful wooded areas and open fields. A large all purpose show ring, pavillon with full service kitchen and camping facilities round out the grounds. We have access to miles of scenic riding trails which are adjacent to the club grounds. We also host CPHA affiliated Horse Shows, monthly trail rides, social activities including our annual 3-Day Trail Ride the first weekend in August.

  The grounds are available to rent for outside groups such as church groups, social gatherings, family functions, and other equine/agricultural groups or educational symposiums.

The GJSC is a community based, family oriented organization comprised of officers, board members, and all our members dedicated to promote equine enjoyment, knowledge, and safety!

Scheduled Trail rides are held several weekends a month starting the last weekend in April and thru the last weekend in October. We usually have two rides, a long ride 5-6 hours and a short ride of 2-3 hours. Whatever your pleasure.Please contact us anytime! We look forward to hearing from you.

Club members share a common love of horses and a desire to make new friends, increase knowledge, and most of all have fun out on the trails! :)
